I’m a robot vacuum fanatic. I love them. Nothing makes me feel better about the end of my day than watching these incredible machines go to work cleaning the floor my family destroyed during the day. It is a huge relief. Reality is – these vac/mop combos are getting better and better, but they aren’t quite perfect. There are still times when I need a great vacuum to help out. At the same time, I don’t want a giant vac anymore, because I now have all luxury vinyl plank flooring. I’ve tried Greenworks stick vacs, I’ve tried Shark – they are decent. Decent isn’t great. I’ve now found a stick vacuum that reaches greatness. The Roborock H60 Hub Ultra is absolutely great.
From the moment I slice open the box to setting the vacuum on its modern charging stand, I realize quality and design were at the forefront of the Roborock design. Count me not surprised. I’ve come to expect the best from this company.
Initial tests
The Roborock H60 Hub Ultra sits in the corner of my family room waiting to be used. It’s first test? Leftover Christmas tree needles from my aging artificial tree. I take the vac off the hub itself and press the top button to fire it up. It roars into action – okay maybe it doesn’t roar, but the suction behind the relatively low volume is powerful enough to push across my new flooring and collect rogue needles at will. I even press the suction button again for full power and the suction accelerates to full power.
Now I run the vac across the tree skirt and needles don’t stand a chance. A brilliant green light shines in the front of the vac – revealing additional dust that I was blind to. I now feel the need to vacuum the entire room. It takes me less than 3 minutes to complete a full vacuum of a room that takes about 45 minutes for my robot vac to complete. This thing is freaking awesome. What’s weird? I hate vacuuming. My kids now make fun of me because I literally have fun tracking down dirt with the H60.
The hub
Okay – what’s the hub? The “hub” of the H60 hub is essentially the part that made robot vacs so popular. The hub doesn’t just charge the vacuum. It also acts as storage – cleverly hiding the additional accessories (vac bag, motorized mini brush, crevice brush, and floor and carpet brush) that come with the vac. That’s already a massive upgrade from the Greenworks stick vac and Shark. Those accessories are buried somewhere in my storage waiting to be tossed because of the mess they create. Finally, like robot vacs, it also serves as an automatic emptier. That’s right, every time I finish vacuuming the H60 Hub empties the cylinder of this beautiful stick vac.
I initially didn’t think I would care about this feature – now it’s pretty much my favorite feature. The number of times my wife or kids leave the other stick vacs I’ve tried unemptied and caused unnecessary clogs are countless. This can still happen with the H60 Hub but only if I suck something up that is too large for it. After dozens of uses, I’ve run into one clog – because I ran over a Nerf Dart. My bad.
Maneuverability
Yup the hub is great – it just is. However, I’d be doing an injustice not to mention the fluidity and ease of maneuverability of the H60. The telescopic wand elongates the stick vacuum with such ease that it’s hard not to just keep messing with it. I can literally vacuum under my couch with the flexibility – which is to be expected – but for some reason just feels better with the H60. It’s a situation where you have to feel it for yourself to believe me.
Finally, the glide of the vac across hard floors or rugs is buttery smooth and powerful. I love watching dust, dirt, and debris fly into the clear cylinder – only to be sucked away into the bag when I place it on the hub itself. It’s almost enough to want to give up my Robot Vacs altogether (but I won’t).
Battery?
The one caveat to any cordless stick vac is battery life. It doesn’t matter what brand I test, the battery life on full suction power always leaves a bit to be desired. That being said, I never felt the threat of the battery dying too early. Roborock claims up to 60 minutes of battery life for reference, however there is no chance this could happen on high suction. My vacuum sessions rarely exceed more than about 10 minutes. If you don’t have another cleaning source, and only vac on high power, there will be a bit to be desired here. On the other hand, charging is quite rapid with the H60 Hub.
Summing it up
As a longtime robot vacuum fanatic, I didn’t think I’d get excited about a stick vacuum—but the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra completely changed that. From the moment I unboxed it, the premium design and thoughtful build quality stood out. In real-world tests—like tackling stubborn Christmas tree needles—it delivered powerful suction, revealed hidden dust with its green headlight, and cleaned my family room in under three minutes.
The Hub is a cliched “gamechanger”, combining charging, accessory storage, and automatic dustbin emptying into one sleek station that keeps everything tidy and clog-free. Maneuverability is buttery smooth, with a telescopic wand and flexible head that make cleaning under furniture effortless and oddly satisfying. Battery life on max power isn’t endless, but for quick, high-impact cleaning sessions, it’s more than enough—and it recharges quickly. Simply put, this is the first stick vacuum I’ve used that truly feels great, not just decent.
